I would like to see the name of the person signing displayed directly on the document when using a simple electronic signature (EES).
I am aware that this may not be legally required and that the identity can be verified, for example, through the signature details or the associated email address.
Especially when a document is reopened months or years later, it would be much easier to see who signed it if the name were visible directly on the document, without having to first access the signature details.
One possible solution, for example, would be to briefly ask the signer for their name when they click “Sign” and then display it alongside the signature.
Other signature tools already handle this in a similar way. From a UX perspective, I don’t think this would make the signing process any more complicated.
I’d also be fine with the signature feature being a paid option. As you can see in the attached image, the finished PDF just looks a little off without the name. :)
